Healthcare
Pakistan’s healthcare system continues to face serious challenges, overcrowded hospitals, limited infrastructure, shortages of trained staff, and inadequate access to affordable treatment for millions of people. For many families, especially those from rural areas or with limited means, receiving quality medical care remains a constant struggle.
Recognizing these gaps, the Irfan Family stepped forward with a vision to make quality healthcare more accessible. In 1998, they constructed the Irfan Ullah Khan Block (Irfan Block) at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology. This modern, 57-bed facility includes a pre-operative ward, surgery ward, children’s ward, ICU, and dedicated male and female wards. For more than two decades, it has served as a lifeline for patients requiring critical treatment.
Understanding that healthcare extends beyond treatment alone, the Foundation also built a Musafir Khana (Guest House) in 2005, adjacent to the Irfan Block. With separate accommodation for 20 men and 20 women, it provides a safe and dignified space for attendants traveling from far-flung areas to care for their loved ones.
In addition, the Asifa Irfan Foundation has consistently provided free medicines to underprivileged patients admitted to the Irfan Block, alleviating financial hardships and ensuring continuity of care.
Beyond hospitals, we extend support directly to communities by distributing wheelchairs in Gujranwala for differently-abled individuals, enabling mobility and dignity in their daily lives. These efforts reflect our belief that healthcare is not only about medicine, but also about compassion and holistic well-being.
Our mission in healthcare is simple yet profound: to bridge the gaps in Pakistan’s healthcare system by offering compassionate support, quality medical facilities, and relief to those who need it most. Every initiative reflects our belief that healthcare is not a privilege, but a basic right for every individual.
